While the World rants about comparing the GDPs of India and China without much regard for the culture, social psyche, historical incidents and specially the political character that shape these countries, I indulge in the best of what China has to offer. Food is the few places where comparisons become redundant as there is nothing right or wrong about it. It doesn’t have to be a certain way, just has to taste good.
#3 A beautiful home cooked meal, which we were lucky enough to experience
Simply fried chicken with skin
Golden tofu with crunchy sliced bok choy or more commonly known as Chinese cabbage
Steamed and sautéed fresh green beans in a mild soy and chilli flavour
A great food experience has to be accompanied by great company, luckily we did!
#4 The authentic Chinese greens which make you feel healthy even if you just sit and stare at them
#5 Candied fruit that looks like food fit for a fairy tale. It’s available very easily as street food
#6 Scallops, not my favourite. But a must-try delicacy!
#7 Interesting salty porridge is a common accompaniment, even with fried chicken!
#8 The amazing street side BBQ, I personally preferred the vegetarian version to the much controversial non vegetarian!
